Lenovo steals second place from Dell of world wide market share

The latest Q3 rankings of the world’s PC manufactures has been released by IDC and Gartner. HP still reigns kind with a whopping 18.1% market share. But more suprising is the fact that Lenovo has shot past Dell to steal second place with  13.7% market share. Lenovo has a 36.1% increase in market share from the same time last year while HP has only 5.3%. Lenovo has been doing quite while in the PC market lately with its business friendly Think-pads and its consumer based Idea-pads. Lenovo also has a selection of ultra books that will soon be coming to market to compete with the Macbook Air. The party seems alittle less happy for Dell. As well as now being in third place overall with 12%, they have also fell a total of 1.6% since last year. See the full break down below.
