The Blackberry London has become one of the greatest myths of RIM’s future product line. We have seen countless images of this supposed device over the last few months. Now Crackberry has gotten their hands on what they say is an official RIM slide showing the London may soon be available to the public.
Design wise the London in this picture looks alot like a phone version of the Playbook. Its rounded corners and all black body almost screams Playbook. The words in the slide describe the London as “elegant, understated, precise, solid,” and “slim.” The OS showing on the screen of the device also seems very elegant. Of course we have yet to see RIM’s next generation OS, Blackberry 10 (formally called QNX). But we assume this is what we are looking at.
RIM’s new CEO Thorsten Heins says he is confident in RIM’s coming product line and OS. It looks like the London is one of those devices. If the road map in the slides is correct we should see this device sometime Q3 of this year. But as nice and sleek as this device looks…it could still be too late for RIM. Already they have been losing immense market share to its competitors. Yet we still can’t wait to try this phone. If its as nice as this render makes it look…this could be a nice phone.
